Community-Based Program

Save Sitio Botlog Gamay Project

SAVE SITIO BOTLOG GAMAY was a pilot project of rebuilding of homes for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda, the strongest and deadliest typhoon ever recorded in modern history devastating the Philippines, including this part of Northern Iloilo.

Sitio Botlog Gamay is one of the poorest community in the islands of Concepcion, Iloilo composed of 51 homes with a population of 264.  All of the 51 homes were totally damaged after the typhoon.

Sitio Botlog Gamay was one of our beneficiary-communities for our disaster relief operations project.  Seeing people with no more homes after a week's devastation was disheartening.  Something must be done.

Life Xtenders responded to this call.  Our goal was to rebuild their homes and help them regain their human dignity.
